Cinnamon Pinwheels

Ingredients

1 cup Butter

1 1/2 cup Flour

1/2 cup Sour Cream

6 Tbs Sugar

1 tsp Cinnamon

1 Tbs Water


Directions

Preheat oven to 350°.
Cut butter into flour with pastry blender.
Stir in sour cream.
Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
Mix 3 Tablespoons sugar with the cinnamon.
Divide dough into two balls.
Roll one ball into a rectangle 20 x 7 inches on well-floured board.
Sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Roll up tightly, beginning on the 20 inch side.
Roll out the other ball of the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
Roll up tightly -- pinch edges of dough to seal.
Wrap each roll and refrigerate at least 1 hr, but no longer than 48 hrs.
Cut roll into 1/4 inch slices, using a thin sharp knife.
Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Mix 3 Tablespoons sugar and 1 Tablespoon water.
Brush over cookies with a pastry brush.
Bake at 350° for 20 - 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Yield: 2 dozen
