Taco Dip

Ingredients

Taco Dip

16 ounce Cream Cheese

1 cup Cottage Cheese (small curd)

1 package Taco Seasoning

1-2 cup Iceberg Lettuce (shredded)

1/3 cup Green Pepper (or Red Pepper, finely chopped)

1/3 cup Red Onion (finely chopped)

1/2 cup Tomatoes (chopped)

1 cup Cheddar Cheese (or other cheese, shredded)

1-2 Tbs Taco Sauce

1 can Olives (optional)


Directions

Mix cream cheese, cottage cheese and Taco seasoning together thoroughly until creamy.
Spread evenly onto a large platter.
Top cream cheese base with shredded lettuce.
Top lettuce with onions, peppers and tomatoes.
Top with cheese.
Drizzle the top with Taco Sauce.

Optional:  Top with sliced black olives, if desired.

Serve with nacho chips.

I can't explain how awesome this is. Most people have had taco dip of some sort, but to me, this trumps them all. There is just something better about it. Maybe its because this is the version my mom made. But I just love it! My cousin and I still fight over the spot right next to appetizer table when this is served at family parties.
