Puppy Chow
Adapted From: Momma K

Ingredients

1 box Crispex (or 9 cups of your favorite chex cereal)

1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

1/2 cup Peanut Butter (creamy)

1/4 cup Butter

1/2 tsp Vanilla

1 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar

Directions

Place cereal in a large bowl. Set aside.
In a small saucepan over low combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Stir mixture constantly until chocolate chips are completely melted and mixture is smooth.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour chocolate mixture over cereal in bowl.
Fold ingredients together until all pieces are coated.
In a 2 gallon Ziplock bag (or large bowl with lid if you don't mind dishes) place powdered sugar and chocolate coated cereal pieces.
Shake until all pieces are completely coated.
Depending on how powdery you like your puppy chow, you may want to add a little more powdered sugar to the bag and continue to shake until they appear the way you like.
Pour mixture out of bag onto paper towels to cool. Store in an airtight container or Ziplock bag.

Katie Dishes - Two Thumbs Up!

Very good alternative to a baked dessert, or to a salty snack. It fulfills every person's desire for that perfect chocolate/peanut butter mix, but in a way that is not too overwhelming.

I, myself, am a salt person, and prefer classic chex mix any day. But I definitely acknowledge the deliciousness of this recipe. And, let me tell you, people flock to it at parties!
